Frequencies - The shape and sound of life

It all exist on the electromagnetic spectrum or as sound waves. The difference between the two is that sound waves are mechanical and need some form of a medium to exist like air, liquid or a solid.

Electromagnetic waves do not need a medium and therefore can travel through a vacuum.

We also use terminology of frequency to describe a person or a social situation. Although very common, here are some examples:

  • “Man, I was really vibing today. I was on a roll with all my to-do’s.”

  • “I don’t know if I’ll go again. The vibe was kind of off.”

Energy levels and our emotions can be placed on a spectrum. Higher vibrations up top and lower ones on the bottom. See below.

Objects have frequencies, because all things are made up of atoms and every atom holds a specific frequency.

Regardless of the time era, profession or area of interest, we always have used frequency to describe the world around us.

Okay Doc, we get it. So, what does this have to do with chiropractic and Network Spinal?

Brain waves and the electromagnetic field of our heart. Aka energy and information.

The types of spinal adjustments that Network Spinal offers are referred to as entrainments.

The term entrainment is used because it describes the interaction between two oscillating frequencies. One ‘leading the beat’ having a stronger resonance than the other. The two vibrational frequencies will fall into sync.

Those who receive Network Spinal are in fact adjusting themselves, because the patterns of breath and muscular/fascial movement sync up in such a way that allows the nervous system to direct the movement needed for healing.

The whole idea is that there is a universal intelligence that our spinal cord/nervous system interacts with. Upon contacting specific locations on the spine, our nervous system is able to better interact with this intelligence and express its unique algorithmic healing pattern. The specific contacts made are done at locations of the body with the most resources (information and energy = hydration, better electrical conductivity and well-connected neurological areas). These resources are shared with the isolated/alienated/disconnected parts of the body, through breath and movement, in order to reconnect them back into the neurological system as a whole.

This movement pattern result is an expression of who you are. Just like a fingerprint, retinal scan or the way we walk (gait) we have a unique healing spinal movement pattern specific to each one of us.

The main neurological aspect that helps explain this phenomenon is called Central Pattern Generators. This is the circuitry within our spinal cord that is responsible for coordination of muscle movement for how we walk. The way you walk is so specific that software for security cameras can detect who you are just by the way you move.

The next aspect that occurs involves the electromagnetic field of the heart and the changes in brain waves that occur. Our brain and heart are always communicating with each other and during this interaction the signals become more and more coherent. The electromagnetic field of the practitioner will help elevate the field of the practice member as well. It will teach the other to enhance. Hence, entrainment, all fields will interact with each other (universal intelligence and the heart and brain of the practice member).

How do we know the brain and heart communicate better?

It is because the practice members that get entrained typically end up with better Heart Rate Variability (HRV). HRV is important because it expresses our resilience to stress and expresses the brain wave states.

Those that study and practice the metaphysical - like Reiki - understand that the main 7 chakras (energy centers of the body) all correspond with different types of energies, emotions and actions/life events.

Cymatics is the study of how sound will shape materials - like water or fine sand - into specific geometric forms depending on the frequency emitted.

Our vocal cords and instruments all oscillate at a certain frequency that make up notes/keys and octaves. As you can see from the image below when our voice sings or talks at a C3 - which is fairly common through many of our speaking range - our vocal cords vibrate 130.81 times per second.

Everything has a vibrational component…a frequency.

It’s the reason why we can:

  • Listen to the radio (AM or FM code)

  • Heat food in a microwave

  • Speak (Vocal cord vibration)

  • Listen to sound (sound wave to mechanical movement to nerve impulse)

  • Have the ability to read this text and see color (Light waves)

  • Feel pain and move our bodies (Action potentials)

  • Meditate, concentrate, day dream and sleep (Brain waves)

  • Synthesize vitamin D (UV-B photons from the sun radiation)

  • Tan our skin (UV-A photons from the sun’s radiation)

  • Take standard medical images like: x-ray, MRI, CAT Scan or ultrasound.
